Our center in Brooklyn, NY, provides training in the Microsoft Office suite of programs for people recovering from mental illness. We train our students in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access using Windows 98 on Pentium computers.

We also train our students in three other sets of skills: how to find a job, how to get a job, and how to keep a job. This includes many things, for example, resume writing, how to evaluate an ad, interview practice, and much more.

Welcome to our program.

We screen candidates for our program about every six months. The ideal candidate is someone who wants to return to work, and wants to learn computer skills in order to do so. NO COMPUTER EXPERIENCE IS NEEDED ... that's what you're coming here for. Even touch typing, although recommended, is not necessary, as long as you're willing to put in the work to learn to type.

Our Computer Skills Center program runs for about twenty weeks, from 9AM to 2PM five days a week. The computers are further available for your individual practice from 2PM tp 4:30PM, if you wish.
